The 5th Annual Ghost and Goblin, organized by the Bed Breakfast Inns Mt Washington Valley on Saturday October 25th 2008, was a success again this year!

From Shelburne to North Conway, ticket holders enjoyed the tour from Inn to Inn, tasting some homemade treats at each place (we prepared delicious Pumpkin & Chocolate cookies), and were given clues to unscramble the Great Mystery Muddle of the White Mountains.

We had a total of 44 participants, most of them were costumed, from Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf to the Renaissance couple.

Most of the Innkeepers, from the 9 participating Bed & Breakfasts, were costumed as well. We were vampires and Claire, our 7 year old daughter, did her part as well for a little while as a little renaissance vampire, even though she was sick with a fever and cough! Everyone enjoyed our motion sensored “greeter” followed by our Beetle Juice in jail.

The winner for the costume contest is Captain America this year, but all of them were very good indeed and it was not easy for us, innkeepers, to choose the best one!

Alex and Ingrid, from Farmington Connecticut, stayed with us as Napoleon and Josephine, and say “We had a wonderful time! Everyone was so nice, the homes were gorgeous, the food was delicious. The mountains and foliag were so beautiful. It was a great Halloween treat and I can’t wait to tell everyone about it!”. Thank you and congratulations for your wedding in February. We hope seeing you for the 2009 Ghost and Goblin trail!
