This is their weekday whitewater rafting adventure. It’s a fun, laid back day on the river. On this trip, you take 3 to 4 runs down Errol’s section of rapids (under 1 mile in length). After each run, guides and guests help bring the rafts up a short stretch of trail back to the shuttle. Conducting multiple trips down the river allows you to play in duckies (inflatables kayaks) and river tubes on the rapids as you become more comfortable with the river. This laid back adventure is perfect for families, beginner rafters and those just looking to have fun. A light snack is enjoyed riverside and lunch is enjoyed on your way back to base. Check-in begins at 8:30 am, and departure is promptly at 9 am. You will return at approximately 4 pm. This trip is offered Monday to Friday during the early/late season and Monday to Thursday during peak season. The cost is $80 per adult and children 6-12 are $75. Price includes: a professional guide, transport to the river from the Gorham NH location, safety gear, comfort gear, a light snack and lunch.
This adventure includes two trips down a 2.5 mile stretch of Class II whitewater below the Pontook Dam (the upper Androscoggin’s longest section of whitewater). With a break in between the two runs for a light riverside snack, expect a laid back day on the water hitting the rapids with time to swim as well. Check-in begins at 9:30 am and departure is promptly at 10 am. You will return to base by approximately 4 pm. Enjoy lunch on your way back to base. This trip is offered on Saturday and Sunday during the early/late season and Friday to Sunday during peak season. The cost is $65 for adults for adults and children 6-12 are $50 from May-June 30, From July 1 to September 15 adults are $70 and children 6-12 are $55. This is a solid Class III and IV river that includes at least 2 trips down the rapids! Surf the holes, take a wild ride down awesome rapids and be ready for the next level of adventure from Raft NH! This adventure packed trip meets at Gorham NH location at 8 am. Departure is promptly at 8:30 am. A light riverside snack is provided during your trip and a BBQ cookout lunch will be enjoyed on your way back to base. You will return to Gorham by approximately 4 pm. Ages 12 and up may reserve this adventure. The cost is $109 per participant on Sundays and $115 per person on Saturdays. The Rapid River is a legendary adventure among paddlers. However, it is so remote that commercial outfitters stopped running it years ago. Raft NH is reviving the legend of the Rapid River. As the closest solid Class IV river from Boston, this trip fills up fast! You will be transported from Gorham NH through the deep woods to an adrenaline packed adventure. This trip starts out with a gorgeous 30 minute, 1.5 mile paddle across “Pond in the River” where your experienced Maine guides teach you how to paddle the raft. From there, its all downhill, which is a good thing if you are rafting! Rapid after rapid with successively increasing intensity for 4 miles is what gives this river its legendary status. Holes the size of SUVs and towering waves will have you asking when you can go again! Finish off the river trip with a relaxing raft tow across the pristine Umbagog Lake. A late lunch is enjoyed on your way back to base. Check-in begins at 8 am and departure is promptly at 8:30 am and return to base around 4:30 pm. Participants must be 14 and over to participate due to the remote and extreme nature of this trip. There are very few evacuation points once you start you are committed to the entire journey! The cost is $120 per participant on Fridays and Sundays and $125 per person on Saturdays. New for the summer 2015! Come view NH’s abundant wildlife from multiple vantage points on our land and lake tour which combines a traditional moose tour with an evening boat ride. This adventure begins with a scenic drive to Lake Umbagog from Gorham NH. During this hour-long ride, guests can learn what a “boom pier” is and even see the Nansen Ski Jump (a ski jump that was constructed in the 30s and was the largest of it’s kind of years). When you arrive at the lake, you will board a 24″ Pontoon boat for an hour long sunset ride. You will often see eagles, osprey and loons enjoying the cool evening weather. After a relaxing boat ride, you will then make your way back to base. The drive home is at a slower pace and explores some of the most famous “moose country” in northern NH. Moose and deer (and even the occasional black bear) are often seen coming out to cool off after a hot summer day. Be sure to bring your camera and binoculars so you don’t miss a single critter! This tour departs most Thursdays to Saturdays starting June 18th through July. Check-in is at 5:45 pm and departure is promptly at 6 pm. This tour ends around 9:45 pm. Guests ages 6+ may participate to this adventure. The cost for those ages 13+ is $65 and the cost for those ages 6-12 is $50. Please note that NH state law requires that children who are under 7 years old and are 7 inches tall or shorter must ride in a federally approved car seat or booster. You are responsible for supplying your own.
New for summer 2015! No (authentic) trip to New Hampshire is complete without a moose tour! Come aboard a 14-person bus at the raft shop conveniently located in Gorham NH and leave the hassle of nighttime driving to them! On this three hour guided tour you will explore some of the most famous moose country of northern NH. You can soak in the scenery and try their hand at spotting the famous “alces alces” (aka moose) with the help of your shuttle driver of course! In addition to moose, you often can see other wildlife such as deer and osprey. Be sure to bring your camera and binoculars so you don’t miss a single critter. This tour departs most Thursdays to Sundays starting June 18th through July. Check-in is at 6:45 pm and departure is promptly at 7 pm. This tour ends around 10 pm. This intimate tour is limited to 14 guests and advance reservations are required. Guest ages 6+ may participate to this adventure. The cost for those ages 13+ is $28 and the cost for those ages 6-12 is $18.
Enjoy incredible views of the Presidential Mountain Range and experience dog sledding (without the snow or cold) right from their kennel. Their rolling dog sled experience is designed to be hands on to the comfort level of the guests. Participants are given the opportunity to meet and greet the sled dogs, help harness and hitch the team and even help drive (at musher discretion for dog and guest safety of course)! During this 1.5 hour experience guests will also enjoy a short 2 mile dog sled ride in their specially engineered rolling rigs which were designed for comfort and safety – a musher drives from the back just like in a traditional sled and guests sit in the rolling dog sled. Please be prepared when making your reservation to provide the ages and weights of those participating (this allows them to determine the size of the team needed for dog and guest safety). The cost of this adventure is $44 for those 12 and under and $55 for adults.
This great package was designed for those that want to pack in as much adventure into one day as humanly possible! Guests who select thiw package will enjoy a rafting adventure in the morning-afternoon and them their signature rolling dog sled ride in the evening. When enjoying a rolling dog sled ride guests can expect to: learn about the history of dog sledding in NH, learn about the various breeds and commands, help harness the team (this adventure is as hands on as you are comfortable with) and go for a wild ride behind a team of trained rescue and second chance Alaskan Huskies! Participants are able to help drive the team (at musher discretion for dog and guest safety), 4-5 + guests may ride together on this adventure as the weight limit is more flexible than during the winter activities. Please be prepared when making your reservation to provice the age and weight of those participating (this allos them to determine the size of the team needed for dog and guest safety). You are encouraged to book this package early as space is limited for this combo adventure. Their kennel tour consists of a one-hour meet and greet with the sled dogs. Guests can pet them, hear their stories, see the gear used in dog sledding and ask all the questions they may have. If you want to bring along some doggie treats, the sled dogs will be your new best friends! The cost of this dog living experience is $28 per person.
